"It's out of my hands" is a phrase for resignation-- if it's out of my hands, there's nothing left to be done. Sometimes people use it to excuse themselves inappropriately. As Christians, however, when we give it up to Him, it truly is out of our hands. God is in control. So now this phrase takes on another meaning: I simply hold out to Him what I have "out of my hands," a willing and sincere love offering, including my prayers, petitions and praises. These "Three Ps" come from Philippians 4:6, which says: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
I'm a disciple of Christ. I'm not perfect, but I'm learning that leadership doesn't require perfection: it reqires obedience, humility and a willingness to serve.
